Spicy chicken broth
February 26, 2008 4:59 pm Chicken brothsIf I feel the first symptoms of a chill like running nose and sneezing, I hasten to the kitchen to cook chicken broth containing different spices. It’s true that pepper, garlic, onion and lemon in combination with the warm broth help to feel better soon. I pour it in the cup and drink slowly, wrapped myself in a blanket.
2 liter water
3 pounds chicken legs
1 big onion, diced
1/2 teaspoon peppercorns
1 teaspoon allspice seeds
1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon rosemary seeds
2 little leaves peppermint
1 lemon segment
½ clove garlic, grated
1 bay leaf
1. Place chicken, onion and all species and seeds into a big saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for 80 minutes.
2. Take out meat, garlic and strain the broth. Add lemon.
